Capitol Visit

The State Capitol Building here in Boise has been under construction for quite a while.  Last spring we took the kids to several state buildings for some of Jackson's scouting requirements, but we couldn't go to the Captiol Bldg.  Ever since then, Ellie asks us on a regular basis when it will finally be finished so we can go see it.  So, with the older kids out of school on Friday, we took them to see the renovated Captiol Bldg.  It was really beautiful and we learned a lot about our state government.  You'll notice Thomas isn't in any pics--he was at preschool having a fabulous Valentine's Party.

This is a replica of the Liberty Bell that sits in front of the bldg.

Back to Blogging

It's been a year since my last post--and I've decided to get back in the blogging sphere again.  I've missed checking all of my friends' blogs regularly and keeping a better record of my own family's craziness--so, here we are.  It's been a busy and eventful year for us.  Last spring we went on a surprise family vacation to Chicago to visit my brother Brayden and his family.  It was so fun--and sort of a last hurrah for our family.  Less than a month later, David's boss called to tell him they were letting him go.  David quickly got the ball rolling with his own law practice.  It's been a humbling time as we've watched our savings quickly evaporate and have seen the Lord's hand in our lives.  David and I did manage to go on a trip to California in June for our 10 year anniversary which was a lot of fun and a much needed break from all the stress we'd been feeling.  The kids had a fun time with their grandparents in Utah.  After they were back to school, we found out in October that we're expecting a fourth little Stewart.  He will be arriving mid June and we are all so excited for this little addition.  I was much more sick with this little guy, so November and December were pretty much a haze of nausea and vomiting for me.  Luckily, shortly after the new year began, I started to feel like myself again.  So, there's a quick recap of our lives over the last year.  Much more exciting posts to come!

Here we are in Chicago with Brayden and Karrie--the kids loved seeing their cousins again!
Above, is us at "The Bean" in Chicago and then me at the San Diego temple for our anniversary trip in June (the best part of our whole trip).
